Any questions?
Can internal walls be used with hup!?
Yes, simply let us know where you want the internal walls, and we will place pattress panels in the walls to support. These can also be supplied if walls are added later.
What is the maximum door opening that a hup! base can be built for?
The roof system and hup! software will determine the maximum door size. Most hup! roof systems can be reinforced to take large spans of doors.
Is hup! more noisy than brick?
The sound will depend on the claddings chosen and the make up of the brick wall it is being compared with. If finished with render or brick slips, there will be very little difference vs a brick wall as the calcium silicate board does a great job of breaking up the sound.
How should I make good the floor if I am knocking down a wall that is wider than a hup! wall on a conservatory conversion?
We would advise using a PVC trim or window board to fill the gap.
Are cavity barriers required with hup!?
In Scotland, these are needed as standard. In England, these need to be considered depending on location and external cladding. Please seek advice from your local building control. Standard details for cavity barriers (not provided by Ultraframe) are in the Building Regulation Packs available from Ultraframe.
Can we use goalposts to support openings?
Yes - this can be supplied by Ultraframe or you can source yourself. The Ultraframe goalpost sits inside the door frames and is not hidden in the wall.
Can you provide me the data I need to show the product performance for Building Regulations?
Yes we can - Please email hupteam@ultraframe.co.uk and we can send you our Building Regulation pack. CAD details for hup! showing the various junctions within the build including standard base connection, roof connection (all roof types), host wall and apertures are also available for architects to create the details for Building Control
