Patented Ultrapanel Technology
This groundbreaking technology combines the best of both timber and steel framing building technology with exceptional insulation properties. With U-Values of between 0.12 and 0.17 that exceed Building Regulation requirements, a hup! extension is five times more energy efficient than the average UK home.
Super-Strong I-Beam Structure
hup! wall panels significantly outperform traditional building methods in terms of structural performance. This is thanks to the composite strength of the panels which rapidly clip together to form a super-strong i-beam structure.
Rapid Connection Details
hup!’s millimetre precision engineering and patented wall and roof connections will ensure a perfect build with no cold spots. The rapid clip-fit nature of these clever connections across the roof and walls mean that a hup! extension is built five times faster than a traditional build.
Accreditations & Approvals
hup! has been independently tested for its strength, thermal performance, fire resistance and quality to provide you with complete peace of mind. Find out more about each of the approvals and download the relevant certificates.
Building Regulations
hup! is pre-approved by several Building Inspector networks to help make Building Regulations easy. hup! is system approved by MFA, who are independent Building Control Approved inspectors.
hup! Base
The hup! Base makes a hup! build even faster and is suitable for most site conditions. With predictable costs and timelines, the hup! Base also provides confidence in your pricing and makes your hup! projects even easier to manage. No diggers are required and the need for skips is reduced and sometimes even eliminated. There is far less mess on site vs a traditional base.
hup! walls
Five times more energy efficient than the average UK home, the lightweight nature of the hup! system makes it ideal for building on existing conservatory bases. Rapid and fast to assemble on site, hup! extensions can be built five times faster than a traditional extension or a conservatory can be converted into an extension in just a few days.
hup! roofs
hup! is available with a choice of four different roofs to bring the design to life. From vaulted to flat ceilings and from tiled to glazed roof finishes.
Windows & Doors
There is a wide range of windows and doors available to be incorporated with hup!
Wall finishes
hup! is compatible with all wall finishes, to provide complete design flexibility. These include wall finishes such as brick mesh, brick slips, timber, cladding or render to name a few. You can mix and match different colours, effects and finishes to achieve the customers desired look.
Any questions?
Can internal walls be used with hup!?
Yes, simply let us know where you want the internal walls, and we will place pattress panels in the walls to support. These can also be supplied if walls are added later.
What is the maximum door opening that a hup! base can be built for?
The roof system and hup! software will determine the maximum door size. Most hup! roof systems can be reinforced to take large spans of doors.
Is hup! more noisy than brick?
The sound will depend on the claddings chosen and the make up of the brick wall it is being compared with. If finished with render or brick slips, there will be very little difference vs a brick wall as the calcium silicate board does a great job of breaking up the sound.
How should I make good the floor if I am knocking down a wall that is wider than a hup! wall on a conservatory conversion?
We would advise using a PVC trim or window board to fill the gap.
Are cavity barriers required with hup!?
In Scotland, these are needed as standard. In England, these need to be considered depending on location and external cladding. Please seek advice from your local building control. Standard details for cavity barriers (not provided by Ultraframe) are in the Building Regulation Packs available from Ultraframe.
Can we use goalposts to support openings?
Yes - this can be supplied by Ultraframe or you can source yourself. The Ultraframe goalpost sits inside the door frames and is not hidden in the wall.
Can you provide me the data I need to show the product performance for Building Regulations?
Yes we can - Please email hupteam@ultraframe.co.uk and we can send you our Building Regulation pack. CAD details for hup! showing the various junctions within the build including standard base connection, roof connection (all roof types), host wall and apertures are also available for architects to create the details for Building Control
