Structurally Engineered
- Using a NASA database, the roof is postcode
engineered to withstand extreme weather at site six-digit postcode.
- No need for a structural engineer - calculations built into design
software.
- Light and strong enough to be used on conservatory refurbishment
projects.
Unrivalled Quality
- Pre-fabricated for a high quality finish every time.
- Utilises BBA approved ‘Ultrapanel’ technology.
- Assessed and pre-approved for building control by
Stroma and MFA.
- Independently fire tested.
Site Friendly
- 100% pre-fabricated roof system - no cutting required on site.
- No specialist joinery skills required on site.
- Fast to install – complete structure in as little as ½ day.
- Solar control glass to optimise the solar gain and reduce energy.
- Lightweight panels are cut to size and easy to manoeuvre.
Energy Efficient
- U-Values as low as 0.12W/m2K.
- No cold bridging, fully insulated structural beam.
- Selection of high performance glazing with low U-values.
- Solar control glass to optimise the solar gain and reduce energy.
Building Regulations
As hup! is pre-approved for Building Regulations, this makes compliance extremely fast and simple.
Your hup! builder can choose to work with Stroma, MFA or Assent, who are independent Building Control Approved Inspectors. They are extremely experienced in every component in a hup! build and can sign off your project with minimal red tape.
Working with Stroma, MFA or Assent for your hup! Building Regulation compliance is a simple alternative to working with your Local Authority.
Any questions?
Is hup! more noisy than brick?
The sound will depend on the claddings chosen and the make up of the brick wall it is being compared with. If finished with render or brick slips, there will be very little difference vs a brick wall as the calcium silicate board does a great job of breaking up the sound.
What is the loading of the hup! wall on the base?
0.4 kilonewtons per meter squared.
How should I make good the floor if I am knocking down a wall that is wider than a hup! wall on a conservatory conversion?
We would advise using a PVC trim or window board to fill the gap.
How are electrics installed with hup! walls?
Cable management panels can be specified beforehand to incorporate a trunking system at 450mm height, allowing the electrician to easily run cables along the wall to the desired locations. If running up the wall, the cable should run in a flexible conduit to separate it from the EPS insulation.
Can you put downlighters in the vaulted part of the tiled roof ceiling?
Yes - however you must consider what the room is used for. If there is high humidity, a vapour control layer may be required. This is not provided by Ultraframe and must be placed between the plasterboard and the steel clips.
